Mitsubishi Aircraft has deferred first delivery of the SpaceJet by at least nine months—from mid-2020 until no earlier than the fiscal year beginning April 2021.

The company has not set a new specific date for completing the regional jet’s development program.

Following Japanese media reports that a delay would be announced Feb. 6, the company did not confirm the delay, saying in January it was still assessing the schedule.
