Singapore Airlines (SIA) has retrofitted six ex-SilkAir 737 MAX 8 with the new cabin product. All 31 737 MAX 8s will receive the same fittings.

The 10 business class seats are in a 2-2, 1-1, 2-2 staggered configuration.

The seats are designed by UK’s Factorydesign and manufactured by Thompson Aero Seating. It also has an AC charging outlet and two USB charging ports.

SIA is the first airline in the Asia-Pacific region to offer lie-flat seats in a narrowbody aircraft. Flydubai was the first carrier to offer such product.

The 22-inch-wide seats can be lowered into a 76-inch full-flat bed.

The 16-inch IFE is powered by the Panasonic X-Series product.

144 economy class seats are also fitted with 10-inch IFE.

Configured in 3-3 layout, the economy seats are manufactured by Collins Aerospace. The seats are 18-inch wide and offers 30-inch pitch.

The entire aircraft can be also connected to the internet via Panasonic inflight Wi-Fi services.

Singapore Airlines (SIA) on Nov. 16, 2021 launched new cabin products, which will be gradually rolled out on its Boeing 737-8 fleet. SIA said the new products elevate the customer experience on board the airline’s narrowbody aircraft fleet to a level similar to its widebody aircraft, “offering a consistent and premium travel journey across the entire Singapore Airlines network.” All of SIA’s 737-8 aircraft will have 154 seats in two classes, 10 in Business Class and 144 in Economy Class, with new cabin products featuring bespoke elements that have been designed especially for the SIA customer.
