Gulf Air confirms 787 orders

Bahrain's national carrier Gulf Air has confirmed its order for eight Boeing 787 aircraft that was part of a letter of intent signed in September last year.

According to Boeing, this confirmed order takes the Bahraini carrier to a total of 24 of the new twin jets.

Bahrain's crown prince Sheikh Salman bin Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa visited Boeing in Seattle last September and the letter of intent followed the visit.
