Etihad cuts back on Dreamliner order

Abu Dhabi based carrier Etihad Airways has cancelled orders for four Boeing 787s.

The cancellation was indicated in this month's order update published by the American manufacturer.

Etihad still has 31 of the still-to-be-certificated B787 Dreamliners on order.

With 55 new orders and 38 cancelations two months into the year, Boeing's net order tally now stands at 17 jets.

Other cancellations also included the 32 Boeing 737 narrowbodies cancelled by Dubai's DAE in early February.

On Monday, DAE canceled orders for a dozen A350 widebody jets and 18 narrowbody A320s.

DAE in 2007 ordered 100 Boeing jets and 100 Airbus jets since then it has slashed those orders in stages down to 53 for Boeing and 45 for Airbus.
