Ethiopian receives sixth of 10 ordered Boeing 737-800NG sky interior
Ethiopian Airlines has announced that it has received a brand new next generation Boeing 737-800 with Sky Interior on May 31 2013.
The addition of this aircraft will bring the number of the total fleet to 58.
"Ethiopian Airlines has always been committed to introducing industry best practices and acquiring the latest technology. The addition of this brand new aircraft is a continuation of our fleet renewal and growth to ensure a mix of the youngest and most modern aircraft," said Tewolde Gebremariam, CEO of Ethiopian.
The Boeing Sky Interior has new cove lighting and curving architecture that create a distinctive entry way. Passengers on Ethiopian 737s will enjoy a more open cabin and a soft blue sky overhead simulated by light-emitting diode (LED) lighting, which is easily controlled by a touch screen control board.
The aircraft also has new features such as modern overhead bins, advanced aerodynamics, maximum reliability, efficiency, passenger appeal and optimised engine design that adds up extra comfort to passengers.
