EgyptAir tyre burst on landing
An EgyptAir flight from Abu Dhabi to Cairo suffered a double tyre burst on landing at Cairo airport last night.
An EgyptAir spokesperson said today that the incident occurred on flight number MS905 – A Boeing 737-800 - arriving from Abu Dhabi at 17:40.
“After the safe landing, the pilot in command has moved the aircraft from the main landing runway into a secondary one,” the spokesperson said.
All 111 passengers were disembarked safely and EgyptAir maintenance engineers replaced the tyres in less than an hour and the aircraft “performed the required technical checks before departing into its next flights according to the operation schedule.”
