ECAir turns to Jettainer for ULD management

Jettainer, the German company that supplies outsourced management of unit load devices (ULD) - the pallets or containers used to load luggage, freight, and mail on aircraft – has taken over the supervision of containers for Equatorial Congo Airlines (ECAir).

The Brazzaville- based ECAir. is outsourcing its ULD management after expanding its fleet to include several widebody Boeing 767 aircraft.
Speaking at the Air Cargo conference today, ECAir chief executive Fatima Beyina-Moussa said “Since its inception ECAir has always partnered with the best in class references in the industry. This in support of the objective for ECAir to become the prime airline in the sub region of Africa. We are certain that Jettainer will meet the challenge in our continued growth. ECAir will be operating a total of nine new destinations in Africa, a daily flight to Paris, Dubai and soon also to Beirut,” she said.
The state-owned carrier, becomes Jettainer’s first African customer. “Airlines on the course of expansion are ideal partners for us,” said Jettainer CEO Carsten Hernig. “We wish to continue our worldwide growth in Africa.”
Martin Kraemer, head of Jettainer’s marketing & PR activities said “The African market is of very great importance to us. We see a lot of potential for growth and aim to continue the market development at the Air Cargo Africa event in Johannesburg.”
