Dreamliner orders culled by LCAL

Dubai-based lessor LCAL has culled 16 of its 21 aircraft order with Boeing for the 787 Dreamliner.

This is the second larg order loss the North American airframer has had in as many weeks as growing financial pressures take their toll.

LCAL was setup as a specialised 787 lessor and had 12 787-8s and nine 787-9s on order.

Boeing said that LCAL is “still a valued customer”.

Last week Russian carrier S7 cancelled an order for 15 of the new twinjets.
