Lessors are no longer allowed to lease aircraft to Russian entities following new European Union sanctions. The EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said that the EU is banning "any plane owned, chartered or otherwise controlled by a Russian legal or natural person," in a statement on Sunday.
