DAE drops axe on Airbus orders

As predicted on Arabian Aerospace radio, DAE has followed its cancellation of Boeing orders with a raft of cancellations for competitor Airbus.

Airbus confirmed today that Dubai Aerospace Enterprise has cancelled orders for seven Airbus A350 and 18 A320 aircraft. The 25 aircraft are no longer listed on Airbus' backlog figures.

Airbus disclosed the information in its latest order and delivery data, covering the first seven months of this year.

DAE Capital's entry has been reduced to 23 A350s, from a previous figure of 30, while its 70-aircraft order for A320s has been cut back to 52.
