Comair warn Boeing as aircraft orders are jeopardised

Comair has warned Boeing that the US congress's decision to defund South Africa's Export Import Bank (ExIm Bank) has jeopardised outstanding aircraft orders, ch-aviation reports.

Comair has eight B737 MAX aircraft on order due to arrive between 2019 and 2012.
The ExIm Bank financed and insured purchases of US-manufactured goods for customer unable to or unwilling to accept the credit risk.
In August, the House of Representatives voted against extending funding to ExIm, causing Boeing and other manufacturers to lobby Congress into reconsidering.
Due to the ExIm Bank losing its funding, Boeing has been forced to park two finished B787-8’s destined for Kenya Airways at its Everett plant.
