Bahrain Air set for Kathmandu link with three flights a week

Bahrain Air is making preparations to offer direct flights to the Nepalese capital Kathmandu.

The new route is part of the carrier’s international expansion and will become the 17th destination, with the first service set to start on March 3.
Flights will operate between Bahrain International Airport and Tribhuvan International Airport and are set to start with the arrival of the airline’s fourth aircraft, an Airbus A319. A319 and A320 single-aisle airliners fitted with 12 Premium Class seats and 150 Economy Class seats will fly the route.
Flight 2B513/514 will depart Bahrain on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 0235 and arriving in Kathmandu at 1005 local time. The return will depart at 1050 and arrives back in Bahrain at 1250.
Ibrahim Alhamer Bahrain Air managing director says: "With the strengthening of economic ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Nepal, there has been a marked increase in business and tourist traffic between the two countries. This calls for enhanced connectivity and Bahrain Air is fulfilling this need." He continues, "upon the arrival of the fourth aircraft, the company is expanding its network and flight frequency in many of its destinations; it will increase the number of flights out of Bahrain International Airport to meet passenger’s demand within the region."
