AlMasaria receives first aircraft
Start-up Egyptian carrier AlMasria Universal Airlines has received its first aircraft, an Airbus A320 on lease and expects to receive three more over the next year.
AlMasaria’s CEO Hassan Aziz said the airline is entering the market as a “value based” airline. He added that the airline expects to start revenue service in June.
“Under the value-focused approach AlMasaria will provide competitive pricing on its tickets, implement aggressive distribution policy, be consistent in product delivery, provide high customer service, and capture international flight connections,” said Aziz.
The airline plans to offer flights to around 20 destinations in the Middle East, North Africa and Europe as well as operating a fleet of ten A320s within five years of launch.
All of AlMasria’s A320s will be configured in a two-class cabin with 165 seats
