WORLD ROUTES 2011: 300 Airlines Now Registered for World Routes in Berlin!
World Routes in Berlin, the 17th World Route Development Forum, has now registered 300 airlines to attend the event, which is taking place in just under four weeks time. This is a record as in its 17 year history there has never been such a large number of airline attendees for a Routes event.
This record airline attendance includes 24 of the 25 largest airlines in the world (the Routes airline team have assured us they are working on the 25th!). Many are bringing their largest delegations ever, for instance British Airways has 17 delegates, Emirates Airline (eleven), Lufthansa (eleven) and Etihad (seven), to name just a few. There are many new registrations still coming in with 41 new carriers having registered in the last three weeks.
"We are delighted that we now have more than 300 airlines registered and we are expecting more during the rest of September. We've had over 40 new carriers register in the last three weeks including Singapore Airlines, Blue 1, Jet Airways, Flybe, Gulf Air, Carpatair, Viking Hellas, TUiFly, TUI Deutschland, Transavia, Tarom, S7 and Germania," said Nigel Mayes, Vice President & Commercial, UBM Aviation, organisers of Routes.
There are now almost 500 airline delegates attending the event in Berlin. For airports and tourism authorities wishing to meet with airlines at World Routes there are even more airline decision-makers for them to arrange meetings with.
