Westjet increases Caribbean offering

Low-cost Canadian operator Westjet will inaugrate two new services from its Montreal and Toronto bases.

From May 1 it will commence a once weekly service from Montreal to Punta Cana using a B737.

From May 3rd it will also add a daily service from Toronto to Bermuda.

Westjet will face competion on both routes from Star Alliance member Air Canada. Between Montreal and Punta Cana, Air Canada operates a four-times weekly A320 services, and between Toronto and Bermuda Air Canada also offers a daily service.
