Virgin America- ready to serve Canada
Virgin America continues to expand this year, announcing its intentions to serve Canada for the first time.
The carrier plans to serve Toronto Pearson Airport (YYZ) with daily flights from LAX and SFO, which could open as early as June 2010 - according to the airline's official statement.
Plus from August 19, the airline will begin serving Orlando (MCO) with daily nonstops from Los Angeles (LAX) and San Francisco (SFO).
Virgin America President and CEO David Cush, said: “Both cities are major travel destinations from the West Coast, and we’re looking forward to introducing our service to travellers in these and other new markets in 2010 and beyond.”
The airline has also announced that it will end service to John Wayne Airport (SNA) effective May 26, 2010.
“Despite our relatively strong performance at SNA, given our new fleet plan and network prospects, we’ve made the decision to focus on the immediate long-haul opportunities that the Orlando and Toronto markets provide," Cush added in the carrier's official press statement.
