Turkish Airlines Expands Africa Service

Turkish Airlines in the GDS has revealed that it'll be starting service to Kigali and Abidjan in Summer 2012 season.

The Star Alliance member starting 16MAY12 will operate 3 weekly Istanbul - Kigali - Entebbe - Istanbul service, with 4th weekly flight added from 31MAY12, on board Boeing 737-800. Existing service to Entebbe will operate as one-stop on outbound. From 17JUL12, it'll operate 4 weekly Istanbul - Accra - Abidjan - Istanbul with Boeing 737-900ER. Accra service will increase from 4 weekly to daily at the same time (the additional 3 weekly operates as terminator service).

In March 2012, the airline launched service to Mogadishu in Somalia.
