Tuesday World Routes Special - Las Vegas To Host World Routes 2013

Las Vegas will be welcoming the global world route development community to its famous city in 2013. The announcement was made yesterday at World Routes in Vancouver and the event, hosted by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) will take place between October 3-6. It also marks the first time that the world event has taken place in the United States.

Commenting on the announcement, LVCVA's senior vice president of marketing, Cathy Tull, said: "The non-gaming economic impact of one British Airways flight from London to Las Vegas is currently $91 million annually. This flight was the result of opportunities realised at previous Routes forums. We are hopeful that welcoming these key decision-makers to Las Vegas will expose them to our extraordinary entertainment, culinary, shopping and luxury travel offerings, and ultimately encourage new international airline routes into Las Vegas."
