Thai Air Asia Chiang Mai expansion

AirAsia’s Thailand subsidiary will add a third domestic link to Hat Yai, complementing existing service to Bangkok and Phuket. The new service will be operated from January 24^th on a daily basis. It will also introduce non-stop daily service from Chiang Mai to Singapore a route currently operated by low-cost competitor, Tiger Airways. Between July 2009 and July 2010, nearly 40,000 O+D passengers have flown this sector with Tiger having a 91% share.
