Star member adds African links

Star Alliance member, Turkish Airlines will operate new non-stop services from its hub at Istanbul Ataturk Airport to Entebbe, Uganda and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

The new services will be operated as a double drop, with the flights beginning from June 13th and to be operated on a 3x weekly basis. There is currently no scheduled service from Istanbul to either of these markets, however the sector between Entebbe and Dar es Salaam is operated on a 6x weekly basis by Air Uganda with CRJ aircraft.

Entebbe has a number of services into Europe with flights to Amsterdam (KLM), Brussels (Brussels Airlines) and London Heathrow (BA).
