NETWORK STRATEGY
SmartWings is focused around developing its point-to-point low-cost services from Prague and this week announced services to Amsterdam and Bucharest. Since the demise of low-cost operator SkyEurope, SmartWings is aiming to develop its scheduled operations from Prague, with a particular focus on European cities, however it has operated services to Dubai. The carrier has historically served mainly sunshine destinations from Prague and some regional airports such as Ostrava. It has also operated some services from Budapest. Its focus may now shift away from sunshine market where it may well operate a more balanced low-cost network of city markets as well as sun markets.
AIRLINE REQUIREMENTS
SmartWings is currently planning for S2011 and has a number of opportunities from Prague for Europen markets. SmartWings philosophy is to serve primary airports, and as such welcomes data from airports wishing to commence negotiations for new service. Airports should send proposals including;
- Passenger data, both flown and projected by country of origin.
- Operational Information
- Incentive programme and fees and charges.
