SITA Reaches Deal To Buy Collins Aerospace’s Airport Technology Division
SITA has reached an agreement to acquire Collins Aerospace’s airport technology unit.
SITA said the deal to buy Collins Aerospace Airport Solutions is expected to close in the first half of 2027. The acquisition price was not disclosed.
Both companies offer technology—particularly self-service solutions—to facilitate more efficient passenger movement through airports.
Collins Aerospace, a subsidiary of RTX, describes its airport technology business on its website as offering “integrated and intelligent solutions for passenger processing and facilitation, airport operations and baggage management.” It adds that its self-service technology enables the streamlined movement of high volumes of passengers through airports.
SITA CEO David Lavorel said the acquisition “extends” the company’s capabilities. Collins Aerospace provides “mission-critical systems that keep airport operations running,” SITA added.
“Our industry increasingly needs technology, innovation and people working together to connect each part of the journey, so disruptions are prevented, or fixed fast when they happen,” Lavorel said.
