Shandong launches Osaka
Shandong Airlines has opened new non-stop service from its main base of Jinin to Osaka (Kansai) on a twice weekly rotation. The route is operated with B737-800 aircraft and the only non-stop link between these markets. IATA BSP data (Airport IS) shows that previously the majority of passengers flying the route indirectly transited via Beijing with Air China.
Shandong Airlines currently operates 1714 flights on a weekly basis and operates to 44 destinations.
Osaka is its fourth international destination, following Seoul Incheon, Taipei and Pusan.
