Frontier Airlines has launched new service between Myrtle Beach International Airport and Trenton-Mercer Airport in New Jersey, expanding its footprint at the South Carolina gateway. The ULCC will operate the route twice a week, becoming the fourth destination served nonstop from Myrtle Beach. “This new route will provide affordable and convenient travel for tourists planning beach getaways in the iconic Myrtle Beach area, as well as for South Carolinians heading to the mid-Atlantic and beyond,” Frontier vice president of network and operations design Josh Flyr says.
Air Arabia has resumed service between Sharjah and Damascus, Syria. The route will operate with 2X-daily frequencies. The LCC says the network addition reenforces its “commitment to expanding regional connectivity and providing customers with affordable and convenient air travel options.”
KLM will expand its winter schedule to Aruba by adding two weekly flights from Amsterdam via Bonaire, bringing the total to nine weekly services during the peak travel season. The added Friday and Sunday flights will operate from Dec. 15 through March 27, 2026, using Airbus A330-200 aircraft. “Adding two more flights per week from Amsterdam-one of Europe's key hubs-strengthens Aruba's position in the European market and offers travelers more choice and flexibility,” says Jo-Anne Arends, aviation business development executive at Aruba Airport Authority.
Air Century has launched a new seasonal route between Bonaire and the Dominican Republic, marking the airline’s first service to the Dutch Caribbean island. The weekly flight connects Flamingo International Airport with La Isabela International Airport in Santo Domingo every Wednesday through Jan. 21, 2026.
Spanish carrier Volotea has commenced a new nonstop service between Bari, Italy, and the Greek island of Kefalonia. The launch follows the recent opening of a new Bari–Bordeaux route and brings the LCC’s network from Bari to 14 destinations, 13 of which are international. Of those, eight are in Greece.

British Airways is expanding its short-haul network for the winter 2025 season with three new routes. BA Euroflyer, the carrier’s London Gatwick-based subsidiary, will launch year-round flights to Rabat, Morocco, and Graz, Austria. The Rabat service will operate twice weekly on Wednesdays and Sundays beginning Nov. 5, while flights to Graz will run three times per week—on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays—starting Nov. 21. Both routes will operate using Airbus A320s. Meanwhile, BA Cityflyer will introduce 11X-weekly flights from London City Airport to Madrid starting Dec. 1 using Embraer 190 aircraft, complementing the existing service from London Heathrow.
Caribbean Airlines will launch nonstop service between Dominica and Puerto Rico starting Aug. 15, operating up to three times per week. The carrier will also increase frequencies on its existing route between Dominica and Trinidad from the same date. “These schedule enhancements are a direct response to market demand and feedback from our valued customers,” says Caribbean Airlines CEO Garvin Medera.
Air Arabia Abu Dhabi will open a new route to Sialkot, Pakistan, expanding its operations in the country beyond existing services to Faisalabad and Multan. Effective July 17, the carrier will operate the Abu Dhabi–Sialkot service three times per week on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays using Airbus A320s. “This service is tailored to meet the increasing demand from business travelers and the large expatriate community connecting the two regions,” the airline says.
Transavia France has introduced a new route between Paris Orly and Chisinau, marking its entry into the Moldovan market. The service operates twice weekly, on Mondays and Fridays, using Boeing 737-800 aircraft configured with 189 seats.
Maldivian has launched a new seasonal weekly service between Malé and Shenzhen via Bangkok, with flights commencing July 9 and operating through August 21, 2025. The national carrier of the Maldives is using Airbus A320 aircraft for the route, targeting leisure travelers from southern China heading to Maldives resorts. The addition of Shenzhen complements the airline’s existing network in China, which includes nonstop weekly services to Beijing Capital, Shanghai Pudong and Chengdu using A330-200 equipment.

LATAM Airlines Brasil will extend its seasonal Fortaleza–Lisbon route through March 26, 2026, and increase frequency from one to three flights per week. Operating on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays using Boeing 787 aircraft, the route was initially planned to run only through October but has seen strong demand with an average load factor of 82%. To prioritize the Lisbon service, LATAM will temporarily suspend its Fortaleza–Miami route during the same period.
Volaris has launched three new international routes from San Luis Potosí, Mexico, strengthening its cross-border network with direct flights to Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston and San Antonio. The Mexican ULCC is offering 4X-weekly flights to Dallas and 3X-weekly flights to both Houston and San Antonio. The airline says the new routes will support increased travel demand for business, tourism and VFR traffic.
Pegasus Airlines has commenced a new route to Bristol Airport from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport, marking the Turkish LCC's debut in the England’s southwest region. The service, which began on July 8, operates three times per week. “Pegasus Airlines' new year-round service will increase opportunities for visitors to travel here throughout the year and support our local visitor economy, by drawing business to hotels, attractions and high streets in Bristol, Bath and the wider west of England region,” says Kathryn Davis, CEO of tourism body Visit West.
EasyJet will launch a new direct service between Bordeaux and Hurghada, Egypt, starting Oct. 29. The route will operate twice a week, with departures from Bordeaux scheduled every Wednesday and Saturday. The LCC says the flights aim to meet growing demand for winter sun destinations from regional French cities.
Air Senegal has expanded a codeshare partnership with Royal Air Maroc to include new destinations in Europe and North America via Casablanca. Effective July 21, passengers can book single-ticket itineraries from Senegal to Milan, Barcelona, Montreal and Lyon, connecting through Royal Air Maroc’s Casablanca hub.

Vietnamese LCC Vietjet has launched a new international route between Hanoi and Xi’an, China. The service will operate four times a week. The launch follows the start of Hanoi–Chengdu service on July 1 and marks the airline’s seventh new route to China introduced in 2025. “The newly launched flights are part of Vietjet's ongoing global expansion that has witnessed the recent introduction of other new routes to India, Japan, and Singapore,” Vietjet says in a statement.
TAAG Angola Airlines will open a new route between Luanda and Nairobi starting Sept. 1, expanding its network to East Africa. The service will operate three times per week. “Connecting Angola with East Africa via Nairobi marks a significant milestone in TAAG's network expansion footprint, adding competitive advantages plus mobility options for passengers, bilateral businesses, and diplomatic relations, among other value-added propositions,” the airline says.
Air Nostrum, the regional franchise carrier for Iberia, will increase capacity across Spain between July 18 and Aug. 31, adding new routes and expanding seat availability in the Balearic Islands, Melilla and on domestic mainland services. Capacity in the Balearics will grow by nearly 19%, with new routes from Palma de Mallorca to Castellón, Andorra-La Seu and Rioja. Melilla will be served by a record 11 routes, including new services to Oviedo and Tenerife North, as total capacity rises by 5%. Across the Spanish mainland, seat availability will increase by 9%, including adding a summer route between Valencia and Vigo.
Greater Bay Airlines will open a new route to Xuzhou in Jiangsu Province on Aug. 1, marking its seventh destination in mainland China. The service will operate twice a week, with flights every Monday and Friday between Hong Kong and Xuzhou Guanyin International Airport. Xuzhou is known for its Han Dynasty heritage.
Argentine LCC Flybondi plans to ramp up operations for the winter travel season, increasing frequencies on domestic and international routes. Domestic routes seeing the largest growth include Buenos Aires–Bariloche, which will more than double from 20 to 42x-weekly flights; Buenos Aires–Ushuaia, rising from four flights a week to daily service; and Bariloche–Córdoba, which will increase by over 130% to one daily flight. On the international front, Buenos Aires–Rio de Janeiro will operate 3X-daily flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays and 2X-daily on other days.
Frontier Airlines has commenced a new nonstop service between Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI) and Chicago O’Hare International Airport. The ULCC will operate the route three times per week, increasing its network from BWI to 11 nonstop destinations.
IndiGo has launched daily flights between Mumbai and Adampur, marking the airline’s 92nd domestic destination. Adampur, home to one of India’s oldest airbases, lies in Punjab’s Jalandhar district and serves as a gateway to regional attractions such as Rangla Punjab Haveli and Devi Talab Mandir. The LCC says the service will support economic activity by improving access between Punjab’s industrial and agricultural sectors and Mumbai’s commercial infrastructure.

Saudi Arabian LCC Flynas plans to launch a 3X-weekly service between Riyadh and Moscow starting Aug. 1, in collaboration with the Saudi Tourism Authority. Flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and Vnukovo International Airport. The airline says the route launch is in line with its “growth and expansion plan and parallel with the national objectives in the tourism and aviation sectors in the kingdom.”
Air Arabia will open daily nonstop flights between Sharjah International Airport and Warsaw Modlin Airport starting Dec. 20. The LCC already operates flights to Warsaw Chopin and Kraków but says the addition of Modlin Airport will give travelers enhanced flexibility and connectivity across Poland. The route will be operated using Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft.
Turkish Airlines will begin 14X-weekly flights between Istanbul Airport and London Stansted Airport (STN) from March 2026, adding a sixth UK airport to its network. STN managing director Gareth Powell says the move is “a major milestone for the airport and a strong vote of confidence in both our operation and the vibrant, fast-growing region we serve.” Turkish Airlines will operate 170 weekly flights from the UK and Ireland during peak summer 2026.
Singapore-based LCC Scoot will launch three new services to Vietnam and Malaysia between October and November 2025, boosting its regional network from Singapore Changi Airport. Flights to Da Nang begin Oct. 20 operating 3X-weekly, increasing to daily by December. Nha Trang service launches Nov. 21 operating 2X-weekly, later rising to 5X-weekly by January 2026. Kota Bharu service starts Oct. 26 with a 2X-weekly frequency.
EasyJet will introduce a new winter route from London Southend to Rovaniemi, Finland, starting Dec. 1. The seasonal service will operate 2X-weekly on Mondays and Fridays through the Christmas period. “We're delighted to be launching yet another new winter route from London Southend, offering a direct connection to Rovaniemi in Finland,” said Sophie Dekkers, easyJet's Chief Commercial Officer. “We know this will be a popular choice for families looking to enjoy a magical Christmas getaway.”
Norse Atlantic Airways will launch three new winter routes to Thailand from Europe, expanding its long-haul network with direct, low-cost options from Oslo, Stockholm and Manchester. The airline will begin weekly service from Manchester to Bangkok on Nov. 26, marking the first direct connection between the UK city and Thailand’s capital. “We don’t just follow demand — we unlock it,” Norse Atlantic CEO Bjørn Tore Larsen says. “Manchester is a key gateway to the north of England, and Bangkok is a magnet for adventure, business and culture.” On Dec. 4 and Dec. 8, Norse will also add weekly flights from Stockholm and Oslo, respectively, to Phuket.
Jazeera Airways plans to offer direct flights between Kuwait and Yerevan, Armenia, starting July 8. “We are proud to be the only airline currently offering direct flights between Kuwait and Yerevan,” Jazeera Airways CEO Barathan Pasupathi says. “This new route offers a seamless, affordable way to explore a unique part of the world.” The LCC will operate the service three times a week.
Greater Bay Airlines will operate daily scheduled service between Hong Kong and Quanzhou in China’s Fujian Province, starting July 25. The new route connects Hong Kong with Quanzhou Jinjiang International Airport, a Belt and Road gateway known for historic landmarks such as Kaiyuan Temple, Qingyuan Mountain, and UNESCO-listed Luoyang Bridge. Additionally, the airline intends to commence 6X-weekly flights to Sapporo, Japan, from Dec. 17.
Mexican ULCC Volaris has launched a new route connecting Los Cabos with Ontario, California. Flights will be offered five times per week. Volaris began operations in Los Cabos in 2007 and has since carried more than 9.8 million passengers through the destination. The airline now operates 10 routes from Los Cabos, including international service to Oakland, California. The airline also inaugurated a new route between Zacatecas and Oakland, with three weekly frequencies operating on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
