In just over two weeks time the largest Routes Europe event ever will open in Tallinn, Estonia with a record number of airlines in attendance and with scheduling now entering its final phase make sure you have requested your meetings.
There are now 160 Head Quarter based decision makers, representing 80 airlines, registered to attend the region’s largest network planning event to decide on potential new routes for Europe.
Low cost carriers will be strongly represented with Ryanair, easyJet, Norwegian.com, Germanwings, Vueling, Jet2.com, transavia.com and Air Berlin who will make their inaugural appearance at Routes Europe this year all in attendance. Also attending the event for the first time is Spanish start-up carrier Volotea with Chief Strategy Officer Marco Comani leading a team of four.
The Russian market is well represented with Aeroflot Russian Airlines, S7 Airlines, Rossiya – Russian Airlines and UT Air. Flag carriers in attendance include CSA-Czech Airlines, Turkish Airlines, SAS Scandinavian Airlines and Alitalia, Air Malta and Bulgaria Air whilst out of region carriers such as Etihad, Oman Air and China Southern will also be attending.
Regional airlines will also be out in force with confirmed registrations also received from SkyWork Airlines, Blue Islands, Flybe, Flybe Europe, Germania, Darwin Airline, Cimber Sterling, Danube Wings and Skyways Express. The complete and up to date list of attending airlines can be found here.
This year will also see the addition of more one-to-one meetings for all delegates and the introduction of meetings on Sunday in addition to the existing two day meeting programme. If your delegate package includes a diary of pre-scheduled meetings and you haven’t made your requests yet make sure you get them in as soon as possible to avoid disappointment as scheduling for this year’s event is entering its final week and will close on Friday 11th May.
In addition to the one-to-one meetings six airlines have confirmed that they will deliver a Route Exchange Airline Briefing in Tallinn. These briefings, given by senior network planners, will give airport delegates a unique insight into the decision making of some of the fastest growing carriers into Europe, the route development opportunities that exist and how airports can be part of their airline expansion.
Carriers delivering a Route Exchange Airline Briefing this year are Volotea, Ryanair, easyJet, SkyWork Airlines, Aer Lingus and Monarch Airlines.
