Routes Europe Announces Addition of Strategy Forum

Routes Europe, now in its 7th year, will take place on 20-22 May 2012 and, hosted by Tallinn Airport, will be held in Tallinn the historic capital city of Estonia. This is the only network planning event where airlines, airports and tourism authorities meet to discuss route development for the entire European region.

The event has seen year on year growth and in 2012 will see over 600 delegates, including 100 airlines, from across Europe and beyond descend on Tallinn to meet and do business to shape Europe’s future networks.

This week it was announced that the first Routes Europe Strategy Forum would also take place at the event in Tallinn. This integrated conference is free to attend for all registered delegates and is set to give valuable insight into aviation across the whole of Europe delivered by leading industry experts from across the region. Further news on this exciting new feature of Routes Europe will appear in The HUB over the coming weeks.

This year will also see the addition of more one-to-one meetings for all delegates and the introduction of meetings on Sunday in addition to the existing two day meeting programme. Airport delegates attending Routes Europe in 2012 will also have the opportunity to arrange ‘city pair’ meetings with other airports at no additional cost. These market to market meetings can allow the two airports to identify new opportunities, share ideas and exchange data and contacts to jointly plan strategies and presentations giving the airlines a complete route picture.

Routes Europe 2012 will also see the return of the Route Exchange Airline Briefings given by senior network planners. Briefings from Aer Lingus and Flybe are already confirmed with more airlines expected to commit to a briefing in the coming weeks.

This unrivalled event connects the entire European market and continues to attract the right people who will decide Europe's future air routes. Routes Europe will also provide all attendees with an opportunity to prepare for World Routes which will take place later in the year in Abu Dhabi.
