Over the last few weeks airlines from within the CIS region have been voting in the fourth regional heat of the 2012 Routes Airport Marketing Awards and the deadline to nominate your chosen airports has been extended until Wednesday 13thJune.
Winners of the awards, which recognise the marketing performance of airports within the CIS region, will be announced during the Routes CIS Networking Evening which will be held on Monday 25thJune at the event in Ekaterinburg.
This will be the first time that the Routes Marketing Awards have involved a regional heat for the CIS and airlines, from within the region, are being asked to consider the efficient use of marketing activities by an airport over the last 12 months when deciding who to nominate. The airport’s market research activities, marketing communications, business case presentations and joint communication campaigns with third parties should all be taken into account when voting in these highly regarded awards.
Airports should actively campaign their airline customers to ensure that they are voting for them in the Routes Airport Marketing Awards – CIS. The overall winner from the region will join the overall winners from each of the other Routes regional events taking place in 2012 and will automatically be shortlisted in their region for the World Routes Marketing Awards.
The Routes Airport Marketing Awards are now synonymous with recognising and rewarding the highest standards of marketing activities undertaken by airports. After being nominated by airlines, the shortlisted airports are then asked to submit details about their marketing activities, results and support packages to airlines. A panel of judges considers these submissions based upon how they match the entry brief, demonstrate evidence of relationships with airlines, and use innovative ways of marketing to airlines and creative application.
