4 years since the route was originally pulled by Manila-based Philippine Airlines due to low demand, the carrier shall once again resume its service to Riyadh in the Middle East.

PR shall be competing directly with Saudi Arabian Airlines who currently operate a daily service on this route using a 747-400.
