Qatar Airways will open service between Doha International Airport (DOH) and Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) in December, marking the carrier’s second destination in Canada.
Flights on the DOH-YYZ route will kick off on Dec. 11 with a 3X-weekly frequency. Qatar Airways already serves Montréal-Trudeau International Airport from DOH with daily service.
The DOH-YYZ service will be flown with Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, configured with 354 seats, including 42 in business class.
Toronto will become Qatar Airways’ 14th destination in the Americas. The Oneworld carrier noted passengers flying from Toronto will be able to connect to destinations around the world one-stop via its DOH hub.
“The Toronto route is a strong and enduring commitment towards providing Qatar Airways’ Canadian customers with … enhanced connectivity,” Qatar Airways CEO Mohammed Al-Meer says. He adds that the airline is committed to having a “key presence” in the Americas.
