Press Release: Eagle County Regional Airport selected as Host of TakeOff North America 2027

TakeOff North America 2027 heads to Vail, Colorado

Following a record-breaking year of enplanements and passenger numbers, Eagle County Regional Airport has been selected as the Host of TakeOff North America 2027. Dedicated to supporting the development and expansion of the North American domestic aviation market, the 10th edition of the event is expected to attract decision makers from over 190 organisations.

Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE) continues to demonstrate strong seasonal momentum, with four carriers serving the airport during the winter 2025-26 season. EGE’s winter schedule saw the addition of four new nonstop flights last year, resulting in over 30 commercial flights per day during peak times. Key routes provide essential hub connectivity to Denver, Dallas-Fort Worth, Chicago O’Hare, Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson, Houston George Bush Intercontinental, Phoenix Sky Harbor and San Francisco.

Overall winter capacity at EGE exceeds 330,000 departure seats, representing a 13% year-on-year increase. Growth is expected to continue into summer 2026, with scheduled capacity projected to increase by 15% compared to summer 2025, underscoring sustained demand for Colorado’s mountain gateway.

Steven Small, director of Routes, said: “Key to the selection of Eagle County Regional Airport was the organisation’s strategic commitment to provide year-round, affordable air service to the community it serves.”

Small added: “The airport is experiencing strong momentum; momentum that will be strengthened by uniting senior network planners from the region’s largest and fastest-growing carriers in the destination it serves. We look forward to working with the team at Eagle County Regional Airport over the coming 18 months on this event.”

“Hosting TakeOff North America places Eagle County Regional Airport at the center of important conversations about air service development, connectivity, and regional access,” said David Reid, Director of Aviation. “We’re proud to welcome industry leaders to the Vail Valley and to showcase the role EGE plays in supporting both our local economy and the broader aviation network.”
