Oneworld carrier increases Jakarta services

Cathay Pacific will increase its existing double daily service from its Hong Kong base to Jakarta, Indonesia to an 18x weekly service effective September 2nd.

The carrier competes on the route with the Indonesian flag carrier Garuda which operates a daily rotation and China Airlines which operates a double drop which originates in Taipei.

IATA BSP data shows that over 520,000 O+D pax have flown the route between March 09-10, with Cathay Pacific enjoying a 45% share of this traffic.
