Hainan Airlines Resumes Bangkok Service

Hainan Airlines will reintroduce a non-stop service from Hangzhou to Bangkok. From July 14 the sector will be operated on a twice weekly basis with B737-800 equipment.

The route was temporarily suspended due to political instability in the Thai capital. IATA BSP data shows that over 12,000 passengers flew the route between April 2009 and 2010.

Mandala begins Singapore services

Indonesian low cost operator, Mandala Airlines has begun its first scheduled international services with two new routes into Singapore, from Jakarta and Balikpapan.

The carrier has flown a uniquely domestic network until now. On the Jakarta sector it faces stiff competition from 11 carriers operating 219 weekly flights including European carriers Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines operating with 5th freedom access.

IATA BSP data shows that over 2.2 million O+D passengers flew the route between April 09-10, Singapore Airlines having a 30% share.

Royal Brunei to place B767 on Ho Chi Minh City

Royal Brunei, will operate a B767 on its Brunei to Ho Chi Minh City. It currently serves the route with A319 equipment. Royal Brunei Airlines is currently the only carrier operating this route.

China Eastern adds new Taiwan service

As part of the cross straits agreement, China Eastern will add new non-stop service from Shijiazhuang to Taipei Taoyuan with a 1x weekly service beginning July 29th.

It will be the only non-stop service between the two markets. China Eastern currently has 30 non-stop flights to Taipei from 10 markets in China.

印尼低成本航空公司Mandala航空首次开通了两条定期国际航线，即雅加达-新加坡及巴厘巴板-新加坡航线。

在此之前，Mandala航空一直运营国内航班。其在雅加达面临着来自于11家航空公司每周219班的激烈竞争，其中包括在第五航权下运营的汉莎航空和土耳其航空。
