New Bari base for Ryanair

Today Ryanair staff travelled to Italy to officially open its new base in Bari – where it plans to roll-out nine new routes until February.

The LCC has based one 737-800 at the airport, followed by another next month, then it rolls out its remaining new routes.

New routes in January are as follows:

Bari to Brussels (Charleroi) (four-times weekly)
Genoa (three-times weekly)

Karlsruhe – Baden Baden (twice-weekly)
Paris (Beauvais), (four-times weekly)
Treviso (six-times weekly)


From February:

  • Cagliari (twice-weekly)
  • Dusseldorf (Weeze), (three-times weekly)
  • Trapani (four-times weekly)
  • Valencia (three-times weekly)

Ryanair expects traffic at Bari to increase to 1.2 million annual passengers.


From 4th February, Ryanair will add another base in nearby Brindisi, with new routes to Barcelona (Girona), Eindhoven, Trapani and Treviso.
