Lufthansa adds new Iranian link

Star Alliance carrier Lufthansa has pencilled in new scheduled service from its Munich hub to the Iranian capital of Tehran. The route will commence from March 28th and be operated on a four times weekly basis with B737-800 aircraft, which is operated by Privatair in two class configuration aimed at a growing business market between the two destinations.

There is currently no scheduled service between Munich and Tehran, however Lufthansa operates Tehran from its Frankfurt hub on a daily basis, with Iran Air also operating a 5x weekly service.
