Hangzhou next on the map for KLM

On May 8, KLM will be the first airline to offer a direct service between Europe and Hangzhou, when it begins service from its Amsterdam Schiphol hub.

The new schedule will be operated three times a week (Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays).

KLM President & CEO Peter Hartma announced: "With this sixth scheduled service to China, we now offer 36 weekly services to this growing market."

Via Hangzhou, passengers can catch connecting flights to other destinations within China with its partner China Southern Airlines.

KLM's current network in China includes Beijing, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Shanghai and Hong Kong.
