GMG launch Abu Dhabi service

Bangladeshi carrier GMG Airlines yesterday opened new non-stop service from Dhaka to Abu Dhabi. The service will be operated on a twice weekly service and will compete on the market with Biman Bangladesh which operates a weekly frequency and Etihad which operates a daily frequency.

IATA BSP data shows that between Jan 09-10 133, 408 passengers flew between the city pairs with Etihad having a 29% share of the market, the leading indirect transit point is Bahrain with Gulf Air.
