Estonian Air alters Amsterdam service
Estonian Air will change its three-times weekly operation from Tallinn to Amsterdam to a six-times weekly service that will have stop via Vilnius.
The changes will come into effect from February 12th, to be operated using a B737-500 aircraft and will mean that Vilnius will gain its first scheduled link with Amsterdam.
In the twelve month period from Oct 08-09, BSP data (Airport IS) shows that 43,000 passengers flew between the city pairs with KLM having a 46% of the market and Estonian Air a 21% share.
There would appear to be demand on the Vilnius-Amsterdam sector, with nearly 37,000 pax flying the route, 46% of which flew Flylal, the now defunct national airline of Lithuania. The most popular transit point is currently Prague, operated by CSA Czech Airlines.
