Routes News, the official publication of the World Route Development Forum, has launched a new Apple and Android app.
The app, which is free and now available in the App Store and Google Play, is compatible across Apple and Android devices, for both smartphones and tablets.
Sponsored by Vienna Airport, the app provides users to the latest edition of Routes News, the world air service development magazine, as well as a full library of back issues.
Unlike some other media apps, this one allows users to download editions of the magazine and read them later, even if users are offline – for instance on a flight.
Users will also never miss an edition of Routes News, as the app automatically updates, providing full access to the latest interviews, analysis and exclusive reports.
Acting editor of Routes News, Lucy Siebert said the app was aimed at providing the title’s global readership with more choice and convenience.
“The free app is a natural progression for Routes News, with our global readership of air service professionals. Our research shows that more people are accessing digital editions of Routes News via their tablets and smartphones, and the versatile app will make it easier for them to read the latest analysis and interviews – even when they are travelling or do not have a WiFi connection,” she said.
“Having a major aviation hub like Vienna Airport partner with the Routes News brand on the app is testament to both our commitments to the global air service community,” she added.
