Delta re-links Columbus with LAX

From June 10, Delta will resume its service linking Los Angeles and Columbus, which has been without flights to the US west coast since the carrier pulled the route in 2008 as a cost-cutting measure.

From the summer the carrier will also launch new service from Los Angeles to other US points: Ohio, Hartford, Raleigh-Durham and San Francisco, as well as expanding its all-business shuttle linking New York La Guardia and Chicago O'Hare - one of the most heavily served routes in America.

Delta's new hourly business service between New York-La Guardia and Chicago O'Hare will begin on June 10 - replacing existing flights between LaGuardia and Chicago Midway.

While its new service between Los Angeles International Airport and four U.S. cities adds to the airline's summer expansion plans from California, including new non-stops between San Diego and Honolulu Sacramento and Detroit, and increased service between Los Angeles and Maui and Memphis.
