Countdown to Routes Asia!

Routes Asia in Chengdu is only two weeks away so to ensure you’re well prepared for this year’s event we’ve put together this check list so you can make sure you don’t forget anything vital!

Apply for your Chinese Visa

Visas must be obtained prior to arrival in China and ALL visitors to China, excluding citizens of Japan, Singapore and Brunei, holding ordinary passports, will require a visa. For details of entry requirements to China and for an application form you should contact your nearest Chinese Embassy or Consulate as soon as possible before your departure as the visa process can be a lengthy one.

In addition to the visa application form, relevant fees and photos, embassies may also require a letter of invitation from the inviting company. You can apply for an invitation letter from our host, Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport (CDIA), here. You should complete the electronic request form in full ensuring accuracy throughout. The visa invitation process will rake approximately 5 working days and you will need this before you can apply to your embassy for your visa.

Request your Pre-Scheduled Meetings

Scheduling for Routes Asia will close on Thursday 5th April, just one week from now! If your delegate package includes a diary of pre-scheduled meetings and you haven’t made your requests yet make sure you get them in a soon as possible to avoid disappointment as diaries are filling up fast!

Book your Hotel & Flights

If you have not yet secured your flights and hotel reservation, you should do so as soon as possible. The benefits of staying at one of the listed hotels include discounted room rates and direct access to the event venue (within the hotel) as well as complementary transfers to the Networking Evening and to and from the airport within the scheduled times. Panda Home & Kuan Zhai Alley Tour
The Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Base, China is an ecological breeding and research base established for protecting and saving these highly endangered animals. It is the only giant panda breeding and research base established in a major city in the entire world. Then travel back to downtown Chengdu to Kuan Zhai Alley, the last remains of old Chengdu’s “Millennium Young City” and in south China the “only existing copy” of Hutong (bystreet) culture and architecture style of north China. Here you can find the perfect combination of Chinese traditions and Western culture.

Museum Town of China Tour
The ancient town of Anren has a long history, and is the only awarded world – class museum town in China. The Town now has 27 old combined residences of Chinese and western style, 18 modern museums and 16 key institutions of historic and cultural protected relics, including Liu’s Manor Museum and the Jianchuan Museum settlement.

Ancient Shu Culture Tour
The Jinsha Site Museum was discovered in February 2001, and it is the site of the 2nd key ancient city in the historic Shu state found after the Sanxingdui Relic Site, and is seen as the first major archaeological discovery in the 21st century.
