Conviasa Flies to the Colombian Capital

Venezuelan carrier Conviasa is to introduce a Caracas – Bogota service from the end of this month, providing competition to Avianca on the route. The airline is to offer a twice daily rotation from April 30, adding to the thrice daily operation of Avianca. Approximately 81,000 passengers travelled between the two capital cities in the past year, with Avianca holding an 89 per cent share; the rest travelled on the indirect services of COPA Airlines via Cartagena, Medellin and Panama City.
