Continental inaugrates new Cuban link

Continental Airlines yesterday commenced a new charter operation from Los Angeles to Havana. It is the first commercial flight between the countries since 1962 and follows a relaxing in travel restictions between the two countries.

Continental will operate the route which is a charter operation opearated for T/O Cuban Travel Services. CO uses a B737-800 aircraft with load for 150 pax.

Yield on the route is expected to be relatively high with introductory fares commecing from 689USD.
