Cimber to increase CPH base

Low-cost carrier Cimber has announced that it will station an additional B737-800 aircraft at its growing base in Copenhagen.

The carrier will add routes to the following points:

• Madrid 3x weekly
• Sofia 2x weekly
• Belgrade 2x weekly

Bordeaux, Corsica and Thessaloniki will also be added later in the summer season.

There are three carriers operating the CPH- MAD route: SAS, Iberia and Spanair.

There is no carrier on Sofia, however JAT Airways operates a three-times weekly Belgrade service. Cimber is currently the second largest carrier in CPH with an 11% market share and 191 weekly departures.
