WestJet, Canada’s second largest airline, will launch four new transborder routes for the 2024 northern hemisphere summer season, including service between Edmonton International Airport (YEG) and San Francisco International Airport (SFO).

The YEG-SFO route will commence from June 20 and be operated 5X-weekly. WestJet will compete with Air Canada on the service. All of the new transborder routes will be flown with Boeing 737 aircraft.

From May 2 WestJet will open flights between YEG and Nashville International Airport (BNA) in Tennessee, flying the route 2X-weekly.

The carrier will also launch two routes to hubs of codeshare partner Delta Air Lines, giving passengers broader access to the U.S. airline’s network.

From April 29 WestJet will start daily flights between YEG and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), Delta’s main hub. From April 28 WestJet will launch daily flights between Vancouver International Airport (YVR) and Detroit Metro Airport (DTW), another Delta hub.
