Breeze Airways will add a second destination in the Dominican Republic with service to Santo Domingo starting next year.
Flights will operate 2X-weekly between Tampa International Airport (TPA) and Las Americas International Airport (SDQ) starting June 18, 2027. When the service commences, SDQ will mark the sixth international destination on Breeze’s route map.
Frontier Airlines offers intermittent stretches of seasonal service on the route and is scheduled to operate 1,920 two-way weekly seats between TPA and SDQ the week commencing Jan. 3, 2027, according to OAG Schedules Analyser data. The Denver-based ULCC most recently flew the route from May 17 to Aug. 15, 2026.
TPA is scheduled to have the largest international network in Breeze’s portfolio. The airline currently operates from the Florida airport to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, Nassau, Bahamas, and San Jose, Costa Rica.
Breeze previously announced it will open 2X-weekly service on Dec. 19 from TPA to both Cancun, Mexico, and Sangster International Airport (MBJ) in Montego Bay, Jamaica. The carrier will also launch service between TPA and St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands on Dec. 16.
MBJ will be a new point in Breeze’s network. The carrier had originally planned to start service between Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) and MBJ in March 2026. The route was announced in September 2025, but the airline delayed launching service to Jamaica after Hurricane Melissa caused widespread damage to the Caribbean island in October 2025.
Breeze currently operates from RDU to Punta Cana and will open 2X-weekly flights between RDU and Nassau on June 30, 2027.
Breeze, founded by CEO David Neeleman in 2021, received a U.S. flag carrier certificate from the FAA in September 2025, enabling the carrier to launch service to near-international destinations this year.
Domestic Expansion
The carrier will also add Buffalo, New York, to its network in 2027 with 4X-weekly service from RDU starting June 29 and 2X-weekly service from South Carolina cities Myrtle Beach (MYR) and Charleston commencing July 1 and July 2, respectively.
Boston will additionally join Breeze’s route map next year with daily service from MYR beginning May 4.
MYR will see a major expansion by the Utah-based airline in 2027 with 11 routes added. Highlights include 2X-weekly service to New York destinations Albany, New Windsor and Syracuse; Burlington, Vermont; Columbus, Ohio; Latrobe, Pennsylvania; New Haven, Connecticut; and Portland, Maine. Those routes kick off in late May, with the exception of Latrobe, which begins Feb. 9.
Latrobe will be a new network point for Breeze, which will additionally open 2X-weekly service from the airport to Orlando starting May 26, 2027.
Breeze flies more than 300 year-round and seasonal routes to 95 cities with an all-Airbus A220–300 fleet.
