Bournemouth Airport Strives To Expand European Flight Network

Bournemouth Airport (BOH), located on the south coast of England and part of the Regional and City Airport Group, serves a core catchment of 2.2 million people within a 60-minute drive time and offers an alternative to London’s major hubs. The airport, which offers flights to more than 40 destinations with four key airlines, has now surpassed the 1 million passengers in a rolling year.

In addition to substantial outbound demand, Bournemouth is positioned to support inbound tourism to one of the UK’s most scenic and culturally rich regions.

Year on year growth in capacity of 34% at Bournemouth has positioned the airport as one of the strongest growing in the UK. In February 2025, Jet2.com opened a base at Bournemouth, with 2 based aircraft, serving over 20 destinations and over 340,000 seats added.

TUI also expanded its presence at BOH in 2024, adding a second based aircraft and growing its summer flying program by over 35%, with more frequencies across seven destinations.

With continued investment and growth from airlines, BOH is building a strong national and international network across Europe and North Africa.
