Boost to Airkenya fleet

It has been a double celebration for Airkenya at the start of the New Year, as two days after its seventh brand new Cessna Grand Caravan arrived on 2 January 2014 from Wichita, Kansas, USA, its second Dash 7 arrived.

There was champagne popping as the Crew alighted from the aircraft after a five days ferry flight. Airkenya General Manager, Capt Dino Bisleti, together with operations manager, Anna Nzomo and engineering manager Alan Oliveria were among those who received the aircraft.

The Dash 7 STOL aircraft is a robust turboprop-powered regional airliner with STOL capabilities, with a seating capacity of 50 passengers.

Airkenya is a domestic airline serving the tourist circuit, with the biggest capacity aircraft in the East African region.
