BMI reduces capital links
Star Alliance carrier BMI has revealed that it will reduce its services on the LHR to Dublin route from a current daily service to a 4x weekly - commencing March 28th.
BMI currently operates A319 aircraft on the route and faces significant competition on the route:
- Aer Lingus operates 88 weekly frequencies between DUB and LHR.
- Between London Gatwick and Dublin Aer Lingus offers 25 weekly flights, and Ryanair 35.
- Ryanair operates 49 weekly flights from Stansted to Dublin.
- Ryanair also operates 21 weekly services between London Luton and Dublin.
