ANA to launch Munich
Star Alliance carrier All Nippon Airways has revealed that it will launch new non stop scheduled service from its hub at Tokyo Narita to Munich, Germany. The new service will be inaugrated from Jul 1 and will be operated on a daily rotation with B777-300ER aircraft.
The new service will compliment existing Star Alliance service between the city pairs with Lufthansa operating a daily service with A340-600.
ANA currently serves three European destinations which are;
- Paris CDG- daily rotation
- Frankfurt- daily rotation
- London Heathrow- daily rotation
IATA BSP data (Airport IS) reveals that nearly 95,000 passengers flew the route between Oct 08-09 with Lufthansa having a 63% market share.
Nearly 21% of this traffic was J class, with an average one way fare USD of over 3,800.
