The airline operates more than 650 flights on peak days at CLT, connecting the North Carolina airport to 180 destinations in 27 countries.
The new Admirals Club lounge at CLT will span more than 40,000 ft.2 It will be located on the airport’s mezzanine level with “expansive views of the concourse below,” American said.
American did not set an opening date for the lounge. The airline currently has two older lounges at CLT, both of which will remain open during construction of the new lounge.
American opened the first express lounge in its network at CLT in 2025. The 2,000-ft.2 Provisions by Admirals Club space caters to passengers with limited time by offering “on the go” food and beverages.
The airline is already planning to develop a Flagship lounge—its highest-tier premium space—at CLT, though the timing for construction and an opening date are still being determined.
